How can I find a learning provider?

Skills for Care’s online learning provider directory can help you find organisations that deliver accredited social care qualifications across England. The directory has all the qualifications that a particular provider offers, including how, when and where they deliver.

The providers in the directory are not approved by Skills for Care. There are a number of different learning providers, including colleges, private businesses and local authority courses. Skills for Care has created Choosing workforce learning, a practical guide to use when thinking about learning and development. It will help you:

  • understand the different types of learning available
  • identify learning needs
  • choose the right learning
  • find a learning provider
  • evaluate learning and development.

To view the guide, visit Choosing workforce learning

Your local user led organisation or direct payment support organisation may offer training for you and your personal assistant. Get in touch with them to find out more.

Your local workforce development partnership will also provide help on local learning providers and funding. You can also ask local authority direct payment advisers and support organisations/networks for names of local training providers.
